What is BFF?

Here is the idea: You make a donation to a food pantry, food bank, or any other service that helps people who are food insecure. Send me a picture of donation receipt. I’ll mail you the bowl of your choice.

I’ll even pay for the shipping costs (US only).

If you don’t know of a food bank, my favorite is The Greater Boston Food Bank.

So take a look at the bowls I have made. If you see one you would like to have, make a donation and get a bowl.

If you don’t see one you want, but have an idea, get in touch, and let’s figure out how we can make some Bowls for Food.

I’m back!

Or rather, a new set of bowls are. I spent some time working on my wood sculptures, and I had a few green bowls that needed to dry out before I could re-turn them. There are 8 new bowls up now. Tell your friends!

Half batch

This batch is a little smaller than usual. Some of these take longer than my normal bowls, and I had a number of special requests along the way.

I am closing in on 50 bowls. Should that one be an online charity auction? Let me know.

Three coats smooth

All the bowls I make ship with a minimum of three coats of General Finishes Top Coat, just like my wood sculptures. The first two are brushed on for a thick layer, sanding with extra fine grit sandpaper between layers. The last coat is sprayed on to make sure the finish is even and super smooth.

There are still two bowls available for adoption, so check them out: https://www.bowlsforfood.com/bowls

Have a specific request? Send me a message on FB or on the contact page.

Thank you!

A new batch!

Thank you for keeping me so busy! Last week you donated just short of $1,000 in just over 24 hours. Can we beat that this week?

I hoped to complete ten bowls this week, and I almost made it. Nine new bowls are up, and I hope you enjoy them.

There is a new process for adopting a bowl that looks a lot like a regular store but fear not you still pay by making a donation to your local food bank. Choose your bowl, enter your shipping information, and check out. You will be given the email address to send documentation of your donation.
